Minnesota!!

It's been a while since the Blog has been updated. We've got all settled into our new place and took the long awaited trip to Minnesota! We flew out early Saturday morning and landed around noon. We stayed at a hotel Saturday and Sunday and drove to our cabin on Monday. While we were in Minneapolis we went to the temple, went to Mall of America and went to a really cool museum. Oh and we ate at Applebee's twice! So here are some of the pictures....

St.Paul/Minneapolis Temple. Mom, Kameron and I did an afternoon session. There were only like 10 people in session, much smaller than a Saturday afternoon at the Mesa temple. But it we had a good time and I'm glad we got to go.

So fun! There were some crazy rides and I don't know if it's because I'm a year older or what but I could only ride half of what I used to be able to do! But it was so much fun shopping too!!! I loved shopping there. Had to have a lot of self control, but it was amazing!

There was a snake you could touch and an albino squirrel and goat, dinosaur bones, tons of birds and wildlife and wolves! We had a really fun time there.

So after our fun filled day on Sunday we went to Mall of America one more time cause we didn't really go on Saturday, but than we drove like 2 hours to our cabin on Sandy Lake in the little town of Moose Lake it was outside of Klokay and about an hour from Duluth. Janel got there on Tuesday. We pretty much just fished and swam in the lake in the backyard! And we went to Digger's house for some BBQ's and music. We also got to go drive in monster trucks in the mud! It was really loud but it was fun to be with family and just have a good time!

Here are some fish we caught. There were paddle boats and we had a fishing boat we could go out on. And the paddle boats actually worked really good, just all the paddling...But we mostly caught northern pike, small mouth bass and a couple rock bass, crappie and I caught a small perch. We also went fishing on the river. Kameron caught some feisty bass but other than that we just got the experience of fishing on the river.

The northers have really sharp teeth and they are really slimy! So you have to be careful. Early Saturday morning we took a trip out with Dad's cousin and caught a boat full of pike. There is a monster pike out there because it took me under the boat, Mom and Dad all on different outings, but it just cut the line and we could never see it or catch it!! We need to go back to catch it!

On Saturday we had a mini family reunion because the majority of us left on Sunday.

It was so much fun being with family and Minnesota is just beautiful!! I wish we could live by the water like that and all the green!! I just don't know about the winters...yikes. I can't wait to go back again (hopefully sooner this time)!!

Update...

We are in our new place! Moving is so much work. Kameron and I have been so tired these last couple of days cause we working so stinking hard!! I think because we just moved across town we didn't pack everything just kind of put stuff in our cars it made for a lot of loads. But I think we've finally got settled. And cleaning our last place made me realize I need to step it up a notch with the whole cleaning my house thing. We like our new place though. Lots of storage and we get our box spring for our bed back! Here our just some pictures of our new place...

We got this entertainment center for super cheap which is awesome! We've deffinatly accumulated way too many big pieces of furniture so our motto now is if we get anything new, something old has to go!

It's nice living on the other side of town because it's closer to work. I'm sad to be leaving our ward and since we got released from nursery I got to spend time in relief society and I am going to miss it so much! But apartment living is just meant to have a lot of moving and change involved. Can't wait for a house!

Here are some pictures of Lake Roosevelt. We went the weekend of my birthday! yea! 21! It was a great way to spend my day!! We met up with Janel and the kids and Jason. Janel made chicken kabobs (that she accidentally dropped on the ground! A little sand never hurt anyone right?) But it was so fun being the kids and down below I'll explain the kangaroo-rat A.K.A. Rat-Kangaroo. But mom, dad and Emily and Trent showed up that morning. And Jason made breakfast burros and we just had a fun time riding on the boat and playing in the water and getting some sun! Oh and of course Kam and I went fishing that morning. Kam caught 3 or 4 I think. All a nice size too! He was using a topper frog thing so you got to see the fish snatch the bate it was really cool! All in all it was a great weekend!!

So Jason was snacking on peanuts and all of the sudden this mouse comes out and is just munching away. Well Ava was freaking out "It's a rat-Kangaroo" over and over. Not realizing she was saying it backwards. I felt bad cause I think those things live in Australia?? She saw it in a magazine. Haha it was so funny though and the mouse was soo cute!

June 22,2007-June 22,2009

Today is our Two Year Anniversary!! It's gone by so fast, but we have changed so much! Kameron has been the right hand I've missed all my life. He knows how I think even when I don't know what I think. I couldn't have found a better match for myself. He's such a hard worker and so much fun! I am so glad we have eternity together because just life on earth would Never be long enough.

Just a thought...

So we are moving at the end of this month and I am starting to look at my surroundings and the apartment we will be leaving soo. There was a couple that lived in our quad of townhomes. They had like 4 or 5 wiener dogs which you could hear throught the wall, but nontheless we were neighbor friends. The kind that you see and smile and say hi but never go beyond that. Well yesterday I was walking by and I look over and their place is empty! Should I care? I've never held a convorsation with these people, yet a part of me feels caught unaware. They left and didn't tell me! Just like that. Our doggy neighbors are gone from our life never to be seen or heard from again. Just makes you kind of sad how quickly people come and go from our lives.

Lake Roosevelt!!

We went to the lake...again! It was so much fun!! Kameron and I stayed the night in the boat! on Friday and got rained out on Saturday. Didn't even stay past 8:30AM it was raining so much! So we drove to Thatcher and hung out there until Sunday afternoon and Kam and I drove to the lake to find a good camping spot. I even had to drive the boat by myself while Kam went and drove the truck to a different dock! So we camped out and than the DeRusha clan came up during the day on Saturday. Kameron wanted to get some good fishing in since we got rained out. And boy did he catch some monsters! It was so fun being with everyone on the boat. And wakeboarding and trying out the tube thing. Wasn't a big fan but it was fun to see the little kids get so excited! So much fun!! Just so many memories that come with the smell of the boat and the lake. I hope we always can go to the lake! Can't wait to do it again!!

So the top two are of our sleeping arrangment on the boat. We got there late and had to hurry cause it got dark and we wernt prepared to drive the boat at night. Yeah didn't sleep very good but something I can say I've done. And the other is us getting rained on. A lot.

Oh just a side note, I forgot our pillows, matches for the lantern, cream cheese for our breakfast, and I didn't have a rain jacket. Thankgoodness it didn't rain that Saturday night! And I need to take more pictures! :)

Kameron caught about 4 fish. One on saturday and the others on Saturday morning. A couple got away from him but overall it was a great fishing trip!

Other news: We have decided to move across town. No price change which stinks but we will get our box spring and have a place that actually fits our washer and dryer!! We move the end of June. Before we know it we will by flying to Minnesota dontchya know! Time is just flying. I'm just glad we get to spend it with family!!

Lake Mead-Take Two

So we went to Lake Mead, again. It was fun although I was not too excited about the idea at first. We have been driving (long ways) for the past month and I was looking forward to a lazy saturday, but my ever adventurous husband set up this trip with the help of his brother and I guess somewhere in there I decided to go. Cade's wife Caryn decided to go too which was fun! Lots of fishing and Towing....yes, as you can see below a stranded group of river rafters asked if we could help them out cause it was too windy for them. We sure were a sight haha. Good service right? well these people insisted they pay us (it did take us quite a while going 5 miles per hour) we didn't take the beer they wanted to give us but the $200 sure was nice! Yeah. crazy. I wish I could through around $200 bucks. Morale of the story: Be nice, it might pay off.
So life update, Kameron is finnished with school pretty much and should get some good grades. He'll have a little break than start up on summer school. And our next Big evnt would probably be Minnesota!!! I'm still sad my brothers can't go, but I'm sure we'll still have a good time! Lots of fishing and Family time!! That's in July though so we still have a couple of months to save our pennies. We are thinking of moving from our home we have now, cause of rent going up, but we'll see if Flagstaff has anything else to offer. Cross your fingers. Oh and I got a new phone. which is exciting because Kameron had pretty much nicknamed my phone "the dinasuar" It's a pretty cool phone: evoke qa4. Still getting used to all the touch screen, which can be pretty irritating sometimes, but it's cool.

Oh and these people had been river rafting for 25 days! Count 'em...Six rafts.....!

This Picture is for Emily. Because I can't go to her Graduation this weekend. But I love you Em. I'll probably be thinking of you all day. You are amazing and I miss you so much.

So here is a beautiful picture of Lake Mead early in the morning. There is just something about being out in a boat before the day starts. We went to Lake Mead for the annual Johnson get-together. The weather could have been a little better but the fishing was good and we had a great time! Can't wait till next year! here are some pics:

We took my family's boat out. Sadly the battery was bad so we had to jump it everytime but now that we are back home I think Kameron has it figured out so our next trips won't have that problem. It was fun being on that boat so many memories. It's fun to be putting more memories into it too!

And last but not least here is a picture of us, sadly my excitment for spring has been put on hold. It is still snowing! School is starting to wrap up in the next couple of weeks just to start some summer school! yay. But life is good and we just enjoy it!
