Chloe Elise Johnson

Baby Chloe is here! She came on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 5:30 pm 7lbs 3 ounces 20 inches. Here are all the details:
I started having contractions about 2 am and by 4:30 am I told Kameron not to leave Flagstaff as he headed to work. I texted my mom, who had just flown in the night before, to head to Flagstaff at about 6 am. The contractions were not consistent and seemed to fade in and out. I decided to clean the house to keep things moving along. It worked. I really started to feel it by noon and was calling to see where everyone was at. I made a few phone calls to the Dr. and I'm sure they were thinking, girl just go to the hospital. I had to pick up Jeter from the bus stop at 1:15 and my mom drove in from mesa right around then. I was having some pretty strong pain at this point and a more sharp feeling I knew it was time. Kameron called me to see if he could run one more stop to Belmont, I'm like "No! I think we should be headed to the hospital!" So he headed home as well. I get home and start making arrangements for the kids. Not really being able to think strait we decided to pack overnight bags for the kids as they would be with a gal from her ward and conveniently one of Jeter's friend's house. Kameron gets home and I think the denial wore off and we headed out! Dropped off the kids and for some crazy reason decide we should stop at Taco Bell because it could be the last meal before I can't eat for a while. Now why or how I got myself into the dumb place I have no idea. (I'm probably at 5cm by now) I take two bites and I'm like we gotta go! So my mom gets into her car and follows us to the hospital. I make it to my room somehow and they check me. I'm at a 7cm! Like what! The pain at this point is almost unbearable and not stopping. I have to wait 45 minutes for the epidural...I was saying all kinds of crazy stuff and everything was happening so fast, yet so slow. I Finally get my epidural after answer a million questions. Bless the nurses. Of course my blood pressure drops and I throw up that dang taco bell. Thing calm down a little bit but not for long. They check me and my water breaks I'm at an 8cm. I think I went to a 10 within minutes. Side Note: I was terrified of not getting the epidural and going all the way. That pain is so intense. We all kept saying, we waited too long! Ain't that the truth! I think my body went into hyper drive as well at about 1:30pm. Anyways: I am fully dilated within minutes and she sets me up to push, I'm exhausted by this point! Exhausted! I only push a few times, maybe a couple minutes worth. It is the most insane feeling when a baby leaves you. And there she was, beautiful baby Chloe.

This is what 5-6cm looks like...my poor flushed face, why do I try to be strong?!

We make it home around 7:30 pm Saturday night.

Family of 6!

WELCOME 2018!

And just like the it is 2018! January is such a funny month to me. There is new years and then everyone gets back into routines and starts a new year...

We finally had another snow storm, nothing crazy but it was fun!

Leah and her ice cream, and her dad :)
We did our hospital walk through...37 weeks, almost there!

President Monson passed away in January. I always loved this quote from him. We sustained President Russell M. Nelson as our new Prophet.

Merry Christmas!

While December would not be very snowy we would be bombarded by sickness! There was a flu epidemic and it hit us hard. I won't go into the details but it seemed December was full of colds and flu.

We still enjoyed the season despite it all!
This is the only picture I have...Grandpa Ewell passed away two weeks after Thanksgiving. We headed back to Utah to be with family and his funeral. We love our grandparents and I feel so blessed to have married Kameron and get to be apart of his family. Some of the best people. We will miss Grandpa Ewell and his big hugs, but know we will see him again.
 Christmas festivities at preschool...
I also started working part time, I know. Crazy. I print claims for a gal in our ward, who approached me about working with her. We stop by the post office quite often...

The first snow of the season! It has been a very, very mild winter!

Christmas Eve, eve. We spent the weekend before Christmas (the beginning of our serious flu battle stared with Kameron and I) we headed to Mesa for some much needed DeRusha time.

 Merry Christmas!
We decided the excitement from children is what truly brings that Christmas morning excitement! What a fun day! I was so sick I slept through Christmas eve :( and my pictures are lacking. I am just so glad the kids were able to enjoy the special day!

Kameron headed to Mesa with the boys, Leah and I stayed home still recovering, It was Kam's dad's 60th Birthday! They played lazer tag and had some fun times with the Johnson bunch!

A few more Chirstmas activites....

Kameron built our fire pit, I like to think of it as the "ring of fire"
