DIY Pin Project April

Jeter and I get bored easily staying home all day. And now that it is getting hotter we stay inside more. I've decided northerners have cabin fever in the winter, and we Arizonians can get cabin fever in the winter and summer! Oh well it gives us funny pictures to look at!

Here is Jeter finishing off his Easter candy, too bad this one had to be supervised. And I'm glad he wasn't a huge fan of it cause it kind of turned his mouth green...

These picture are from a month ago or so but I had to share them. Jeter was taking his playful self outside one day and tripped and hit his head right on the corner of the door, The cut wasn't too bad but the goose egg was. It's healed now and kid of left a mark hopefully time will heal it completely.

And you can't live in Globe unless the the creepy crawly come to visit you!!!
Ok now for my Pins. I would have to say this month was a failure! These are sweet potato chips. They tasted okay, kind of soft, and I burnt the first batch. And cutting them was really hard. Sweet potatoes are much harder then regular potatoes I found out.
Next I decided to make some sugar cookies with a pin recipe and do the fun colorful pinwheel pin. The recipe was awful. It was titled "Meltaway sugar cookies" with simple ingredients. Well I would probably rename them "Throwaway sugar cookies" because that's exactly what I did.
And to top it off they look like a cow ate skittles and they turned it's poop shades of the rainbow. So I was left with yucky tasting colorful cow pies. Sigh.

One last photo (getting pictures onto blogger has been real challenge lately, and moving this picture up with the others is just too much work) We were on our way home from a Saturday lake trip and Kameron gave jeter a gummy worm, well the little guy fell asleep and this worm somehow made its way in between Jeter's chin and chest and when he woke up they were stuck together! It. Was. Hilarious! He was half asleep and trying to lift his head but it was stuck to his shirt, so Funny!!

Happy Easter 2012!

Here are some candids of the two most important people in my life!

Jeter has this big bog "Da" as he calls it, but he will always lay on it and give it hugs, adorable!

 Watching "gigglebellies" on youtube
For easter we went to Apache Lake it's about an hour and a half from our house, the road is a little bumpy and narrow but it's sooo beautiful and we had such a fun time! Some of my family came and we just enjoying the nice weather (the water was a liiittle chilly!)

 Cooper and Jeter
Wyatt caught this fish with his hand and kept saying "hillbillie hand fishing!" Kids are so funny!
Easter Egg hunt! Jeter collected a few and then started throwing them, silly guy, all the candy went into the sand but that didn't keep him from eating a bunch later!

The camp. My parents stayed in the motel right above our camp site while the rest of us slept on the memory foam sand.
On Easter Sunday Jeter was greeted with an easter basket from the easter bunny. It's so nice when they are little and easy to please !

 Got a new blue truck!
Since we forgot to take a family picture at the lake we took an Easter Sunday picture. The camera I have right now does not do a good job, but that's okay. We had a wonderful Easter and look forward to going to Apache Lake again soon!
Happy Easter!

DIY Pin Project March 2012

This post is filled with lots of Jeter pictures. Time has gotten away from me so these pictures are somewhat old but I like to document this little boy that keeps us on our toes!
This one day Jeter was just taking bites of crackers, you can see them on the couch, it was so funny!
He also was in a phase of holding his hands behind his back. He doesn't do it much anymore so I am glad I took some pictures it was so cute, I think he picked it up from one of the sesame street videos he watches. Too cute!

My good friend Katy Marble Murdock came to Globe to see us the other day! I havn't see that girl in years! And she has two kids, lives in California, just amazing how fast time goes! Katy was my first friend when I moved to Thatcher. We had gym together and we both had the name Katie so it was easy to get introduced. I remember I was still very new and this girl asked  me if I had somewhere to sit at lunch (very nice of her by the way) and I told her Katy had invited me to sit with her and she said "oh you're one of those girls" and turned around. Just a shout out to Katy that she was being a good example, enough that this girl left me alone, and I don't mind at all that she labeled me as "one of those girls" thanks Katy for being an amazing friend and an awesome person!!
Jeter just being his inquisitive little self!
These sponge bob pajamas crack me up! Thanks Killian for sharing!
We recently went down to the Valley for my nephew Cade's play "Little shop of Horrors" he was the lead Symore and it was one of the better high school plays I have seen! Jeter had fun playing at the park and enjoying the nice spring weather!
Being inquisitive again....
We took the boat out for the first spin of the season. Of course it was windy with spring and a storm I guess was blowing in. We made sure the boat was out of the water before that was even an issue. Don't need to go through that again!
We had hot dogs, played in the water, looked at cows and had fun on the boat! Jeter is at the age though were he likes the short drive on the boat and then needs a beach to play on.
 The cows.
So Now for the Projects for the Month of March! I can't find the link to this, but I think it was just corn starch, baby soap, and a drop of food coloring. It makes this weird good that we played with in the bathtub one day.
Jeter was so funny, he did Not want to touch it, but he liked watching me play with it.
I "helped" him play with it though!

http://team-t-adventures.blogspot.com/2010/03/crock-pot-orange-chicken.html  So I tried making this awesome looking orange chicken. I think I cooked it too long because it just didn't...I don't know if didn't taste that good. And we came to the conclusion that orange chicken should be left to panada express. Thanks Kameron for letting me try it though!
This isn't a specific pin but it is re-doing furniture so it counts! I bought this night stand at a swap meet super cheap. Sanded and painted it!
I wasn't planning on doing this color (lemon grass) it was free pint of paint day at Ace so I was like whatev, but ended up trying to save money so I had to use this color. It's cute but not what I pictured. It was fun doing the project though, it's always fun re-making something!
