DIY Pin Project March 2012

This post is filled with lots of Jeter pictures. Time has gotten away from me so these pictures are somewhat old but I like to document this little boy that keeps us on our toes!
This one day Jeter was just taking bites of crackers, you can see them on the couch, it was so funny!
He also was in a phase of holding his hands behind his back. He doesn't do it much anymore so I am glad I took some pictures it was so cute, I think he picked it up from one of the sesame street videos he watches. Too cute!

My good friend Katy Marble Murdock came to Globe to see us the other day! I havn't see that girl in years! And she has two kids, lives in California, just amazing how fast time goes! Katy was my first friend when I moved to Thatcher. We had gym together and we both had the name Katie so it was easy to get introduced. I remember I was still very new and this girl asked  me if I had somewhere to sit at lunch (very nice of her by the way) and I told her Katy had invited me to sit with her and she said "oh you're one of those girls" and turned around. Just a shout out to Katy that she was being a good example, enough that this girl left me alone, and I don't mind at all that she labeled me as "one of those girls" thanks Katy for being an amazing friend and an awesome person!!
Jeter just being his inquisitive little self!
These sponge bob pajamas crack me up! Thanks Killian for sharing!
We recently went down to the Valley for my nephew Cade's play "Little shop of Horrors" he was the lead Symore and it was one of the better high school plays I have seen! Jeter had fun playing at the park and enjoying the nice spring weather!
Being inquisitive again....
We took the boat out for the first spin of the season. Of course it was windy with spring and a storm I guess was blowing in. We made sure the boat was out of the water before that was even an issue. Don't need to go through that again!
We had hot dogs, played in the water, looked at cows and had fun on the boat! Jeter is at the age though were he likes the short drive on the boat and then needs a beach to play on.
 The cows.
So Now for the Projects for the Month of March! I can't find the link to this, but I think it was just corn starch, baby soap, and a drop of food coloring. It makes this weird good that we played with in the bathtub one day.
Jeter was so funny, he did Not want to touch it, but he liked watching me play with it.
I "helped" him play with it though!

http://team-t-adventures.blogspot.com/2010/03/crock-pot-orange-chicken.html  So I tried making this awesome looking orange chicken. I think I cooked it too long because it just didn't...I don't know if didn't taste that good. And we came to the conclusion that orange chicken should be left to panada express. Thanks Kameron for letting me try it though!
This isn't a specific pin but it is re-doing furniture so it counts! I bought this night stand at a swap meet super cheap. Sanded and painted it!
I wasn't planning on doing this color (lemon grass) it was free pint of paint day at Ace so I was like whatev, but ended up trying to save money so I had to use this color. It's cute but not what I pictured. It was fun doing the project though, it's always fun re-making something!

DIY Pin Project Feb '12

Before I show my projects I have to confess that I am a mother who has "my kid is the cutest" It's just something about a little kid all dressed up for church that pulls at my heart strings. Jeter is adorable!!!!

Alright so my projects this month just kind of came together. I made these tacos shells in the oven by hanging them. They didn't need to cook as long as instructions go so the first bunch just stunk up my house but the next group were perfect, although I would probably just make normal tacos in the future these were fun to try!

oh and I used this recipe for shredded chicken tacos, http://pinterest.com/pin/133278470192413551/   this should link to my pin board to go to the website "onestopcook.wordpress.com" I thought it was one of the best shredded chicken ever a little messy but lots of flavor! I love tacos!
This next project just kind of happened. I went to Thatcher for the weekend and my mom was well stocked to let me do this project on a whim. Mine is the green one and Brianna's is the pink one. It's a frame with craft paper behind it and cute scrap booking flowers for decorations. I just wrote "I love you because..." on the glass, Bri wrote it on the paper. Either way it works. And than use dry erase markers to leave a happy note! I love this idea and it's so cute!
Janel's three boy and Ava were up in Thatcher also, Cooper is always such a great helper, playing with the babies and such.  Here's Cooper and Jeter. Always a fun time in Thatcher!! And a successful pinning project month! Can't wait to see what March comes up with!

Teeth!

Jeter is all ready for Valentine's Day! He's got the looks and the style and he is the only boy in nursery! Well for now he is my little charmer, don't need him growing up too fast. He is growing up though and getting lots of teeth. I feel so bad the poor kid can't eat half the time and his mouth hurts. Medicine helps but cutting teeth just isn't fun!
What is fun is going out for cookouts! Kameron found this nice little area about 20 minutes outside Globe. We made yummy hamburgers and apple crisp and got to play with fire!
                                                                     Jeter just loving it!
Thanks Natalie and Jacob for the grill! We are putting it to good use!  Daddy and Jeter by the fire.

There was a cat that kept coming around so we fed him some leftovers. Then later we saw a sign "watch for rabbied animals" um yikes. But the cat seemed normal so no worries. And there was a watch for bobcats. So after that I was looking over my shoulder every 5 seconds. But it was a fun little outing.
Jeter loves hats. I love that he loves hats. Here he is sporting his baseball hat at the park.

 And he loves swings...
Nothing like working with some tools with daddy. Jeter is all boy, seriously!

Here we are ready for church!
That "why do you keep flashing that thing in my face crazy lady" look.
Well that was picture overload, I need a nap!

Tonto National Monument

Jeter loves it outside so we spend a lot of time in the backyard, in the boat, at the park. Now that the weather isn't so cold it's kind of nice to get out of the house and use the tire swing and go exploring in the large backyard.

This past weekend we went to the cliff dwelings. They're about 45 minutes outside of Globe with Lake Roosevelt on the other side of the highway. The weather was perfect, we got some excerise, and Jeter was in a great mood the entire time!
                                         Getting ready for the hike.
It's all uphill, Jeter insisted he help push the stroller most the time.
 The View
Finally at the top!
Me pretending to gind corn. I love history stuff and it's amazing to see where these people used to live! I can't imagine little kids running around up there!

Walking down the cliff, very carefully.
We then enjoyed our lunch (that Kameron made) at a picnic spot.
Jeter wouldn't look at the camera and when he did this is the face I'd get from him. Silly Boy. It was such a fun day!
