The Lake
So we went to Lake Powell this past weekend. We left friday afternoon and Kameron's cousin met us there, poor guy was there an hour before us, so by then we are way pumped to get the boat loaded and head out to find a good camping spot and maybe get some night fishing in. So we have the boat in ready to launch off an it won't start. So the guys try to fix it for a while and think it just needs to be jumped, that doesn't work. So long story short it gets too dark to go anywhere and the boat still isn't working so we just make camp where we are. And we all decided camping is a thing that takes time to conquer. Because we left the lighter in the trunk of our car, didn't bring a can opened...ect.ect. But we had a fun just sitting by the fire talking and the stars were beautiful! The hard sand didn't make for a good nights sleep, but Randy said his felt like Memory Foam....I think not. haha. So in the morning we try to get the boat started...we do get it running! But once we tried to switch gears or something it kept dying. Bummer! Oh and a bunch of stripers start jumping right where we are so it just made the guys go crazy! They gave up on the boat and just fished along the shore for the afternoon. Didn't catch anything though. I just chilled at camp reading and eating candy. haha. It sure was relaxing though. So overall the trip was unsuccessful. But it was fun besides the whole boat not working thing.

Halfway through September!
So I had a great weekend with my Mom and Dad!! They sure were good parents if I can cry everytime they leave me! is that a good thing? Dad just went and played music at a festival that actually sounded pretty fun! Im glad he had fun! Mom and I talked..and talked and talked! it was sooo nice! I love moms. Especially mine! I can't wait to see them again hopefully soon!
Work is still work. I'm trying to find something else, but that always seems to take a while. We are headed to Lake Powell this weekend! hopefully I get some good pictures to post. And the next weekend we are headed to Mesa so I can to Molli's Bridal shower and see my long lost friends! So that our update!

Annual Russel Johnson Reunion
Kameron, Tanner and Sam and Bell! at the lake
Kameron at the Lake. We didn't catch anything...except I got a sunburn!
That's Me! And Natalie smiling beautifully in the background!
Wham! I totally nailed that one!
Ka-Pow! Kam puts us in the lead!
The perfect serve.
SO we went to a cabin this past weekend for Labor Day! We had a lot of F-U-N! Badminton, fishing, card games, sleep and good company. We were about 10-15 minutes outside of Heber. So of course I had to drive by the old cabin, Yup still there! And June's Cafe was closed wah no yummy ice cream for me. But that's okay. We played pit and you have to trade cards with people but you have to yell how many you want to trade and Kameron started to make fun of me cause my arms were short and it was soooo funny! you know when you laugh and you can't breathe and it kind of scares you?? well it happened to me. And we made home made pizza, didn't know you should bake the crust first and Then put the sauce and cheese on. I guess it was sill good. Oh and another funny, there is only one bathroom...and we had steak for sunday dinner and all the sudden almost every boy was needing the potty! Oh it was so funny. and Than we realized we were running out of toilet paper...dun dun dun! haha but we found more thankgoodness cause that plumbing system got a work out. It was hard coming back home and going back to work and school...yuck. Oh well, somehow we get through it.
The next big event...! Mom and Dad are coming to Flagstaff next weekend!! I've just been praying for some DeRusha interaction. It's been way toooo long. I don't like it. So I'm already looking forward to that!
Kameron's smashed finger is getting better. He did have to pop it with a hot needle and pull his entire finger nail off..uh yeah disgusting, So hopefull it heals right and all that good stuff.
So yeah! September is here and the snowy season will be here before we know it!

Update
So I had my first piano teaching experience today! The student didn't bring his books so Thank Goodness I had gone through a bunch of old books mom lent me (thanks mom!) So we just played those and did some scale work. He wants to learn Jazz...yeah we'll see how that goes! I'll probably have to learn along with him.
So Kameron totally busted his finger the other day at work. The nail is all black and the blackness look like its leaking onto his skin. It isn't broken but I feel bad for him! It can't feel good. And Kam got his new phone! A palm centro from verizon. It's really a cool phone! of course now I feel that I need a new phone! Eventually. Right now money is being a pain in the you know what. Our car totally died. It's going to be expensive to fix it. It really sucks. But I remember Nate saying one time "Life sucks. Get a helmet" haha. So we are just going to push through all this and start saving up again.
We have a lot of driving ahead of us. We are going to Utah for Mandy on Wednesday. So we'll be missing work Thursday. Drive back to Flagstaff Thursday night and than we'll go to work Friday and than head out to Heber that evening for our cabin trip with Kameron's family. The drive to Utah won't be very uplifting because the whole thing is so sad. So sad.
Hopefully we have a good Labor Day weekend and can start feeling better after the trip to Utah. But work is going good for us both. And Kameron has liked all his classes so far this semester. So let's hope it motivates him to do Homework! Yay!

Sad news
Life is such a fragil thing. On my Johnson side my father in laws brother Bevin has a daughter named Mandy. About my age. She went to the Ukraine to teach english just a little bit ago and just got engaged. But sadly we got the news this morning she was in a fatal plan crash that killed all 10 people on board. I was just starting to get to know Mandy since we lived apart we only got to know eachother during family get togethers. But this still hurts. I am grateful for the gospel that lets us know she is now okay, but what a beautiful face we will miss. What a wonderful giving personality that has left us. Life is fragil. Live the gospel. Don't take it for granted. Tell your loved ones you love them and don't waste what time we have here together. I wish this horrible event didn't have to happen to make me remember that. But I love my family. Every memory we have together and all the times we've had to be a family and the times to come.

And now my Feet hurt
So I started my new job. Well I've been in training, but today was the first day of real hard-core in your face you-don't-know-what-you-are-doing. Serving the kids wasn't bad..but everyone knows the frist day of a job. Yuck. And get this, I'm surrounded my food and I can have one free meal. We made cheesebrugers today and turkey and cheese sandwiches. But anyways I was around so much of it I couldn't eat it! I didn't really feel hungry all day cause I was busy pretty much every second, but how is that I can work around the food all day and go home without eating that morning at 6:00AM? And it's now after 2:00PM? So I've started reading "Breaking Dawn" and why why why did I start reading it once I had a job?? I spent about TWO months with nothing to do and now I have a job and I just decide to read this most incredibly addicting book? Hm, something seems wrong with that. AND So now I've started working until 2 in the afternoon and usually Kameron gets off around then BUT this week he's been getting off 10:30-11:30...All those weeks I would have nothing to do but wait for him to get home, which happened around 2 or even later! and now! Life just loves to throw those curve balls atchya. But it's all good. Once school starts We'll be lucky if we get to see eachother every once in a while. So these days I'm reading "Breaking Dawn" and Kameron plays his new Football game. Fun fun fun!!

Trip to Utah
Kam at the Cottonwood Reception
The Car
The Long line of cars as we left Flag
The Happy Couple!
Kameron and his cousin Randy
Us in front of the St. George Temple
The brownie and ice cream I got to serve all night
So this past weekend we went to Utah for Natalie's Wedding in the St. George Temple. It was a lot of fun being with the family we don't really get to see a whole lot! We did get stuck in traffic because of an accident..but who doesn't like really long, long, long car rides? But the wedding went great and the Cottonwood reception turned out really nice! Just all that driving. It takes about an hour from Flagstaff to Cottonwood but of course we had get stuck in traffic coming into sedona for about 45 minutes. Going to the St. George temple was a neat experience my first time in any other temple but the Mesa and my first marriage sealing besides me own. We had a really fun time.
